Tech Development
Bridge Africa was hired to implement the project activities for several reasons. For one, our solution, bridgeafrica.com, is sustainable, sparing users from worrying about huge financial costs and losing their sites due to hosting and domain name issues, as is the case with WordPress sites and others. Secondly, users won’t have to worry about security breaches as the platform has been rebuilt using latest technologies. Thirdly, the platform is also a social network enabling exchange between SMEs and customers (B2C), as well as other SMEs (B2B)
Expected Activity
We had to develop a website template to connect 500 artisans on bridgeafrica.com, as well as a network account that would regroup all 500 artisans.
Completed Activity
We developed a website template that would enable 500 artisans have websites on bridgeafrica.com. This template enables artisans to display their products on our marketplace, engage with customers through messaging, gain more visibility through their integration in our online business directory.
In addition to the website template, we also built a network account, titled Les Artisans Textiles du Cameroon/The Textile Artisans of Cameroon. This network regroups all 500 actors of the project. Through this network, businesses can engage with each other for B2B transactions. The network can be accessed here: https://bridgeafrica.com/network_follower/2
