Mass trainings
Expected Activity
Bridge Africa was tasked to organise mass trainings in the project regions, during which digital coaches would work with entrepreneurs to create their websites, and grant them digital literacy training.
Completed Activity
Mass trainings were organised in all the project regions except the Centre, where we were asked by GIZ not to proceed with its organisation. The trainings held on the following dates: Douala: February 1 2022; Bafoussam: February 4 2022; Ngaoundere: February 21 2022; Garoua: March 28 2022; Maroua: April 1 2022.
Following the Douala mass training, GIZ asked that mass meetings begin with the 6 training videos, each video followed by a question-and-answer session for more interactivity. GIZ also demanded that website creation be relegated to the end of the trainings.
During all mass trainings, Heads of Section for training, commercialisation and orientation were present in the event.
Checklist elements for the mass training, which was approved by GIZ, included sharing the current list of artisans with centre coordinators, asking them to update the list where possible; involve heads of sections in events; broadcasting 6 training videos, with Q&A session after every video; administer GIZ and Bridge Africa questionnaires.
